Guest writer and movie geek Brandon A. recounts his 5 favorite dance sequences from horror movies. It's hard to disagree with his choices. From Crispin Glover's jerking spasms in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter to Mark Patton's masturbatory bedroom dance in Nightmare on Elm Street 2, you can't really go wrong. Can you tell we are getting more and more excited about Halloween?
#5: House of the Devil
This whole film is an homage to schlocky 80s horror flicks, and a goofy dance sequence was practically mandatory in the genre. This is certainly Ti West's best film to date in my book.
#4: Prom Night
I thought disco was supposed to have been dead by this point. Obviously not.
#3: Nightmare on Elm St. 2
First off... I still LOVE the first film. This one is far inferior, but this scene is perhaps the most terrifying thing about this entry into the franchise. I still cringe.
#2: Friday the 13th: the Final Chapter (Crispin Glover)
Man. I love Crispin Glover. Even when he's trying to play a relatively serious role in a relatively serious slasher, he can't help but to let a bit of the weird in. I hear they shot this to "Back in Black," which may explain why the moves are absolutely not in sync with the music whatsoever. One of the better Friday installments as well...
#1: Troll 2
So, I don't know if this is THE best, but my love for this movie runs pretty deep, so that puts it at the top. At this point, Troll 2 is a little over-saturated, but that doesn't diminish it's rank as the best bad movie ever made. All hail.
