Australian gay band Cub Sport's new self-titled album just came out on Jan 18th. If you aren't familiar, watch the "Party Pill" music video below immediately. Unlike most gay bands, Cub Sport isn't trying to be campy or kitschy with their music. The most shocking thing about their music is how fucking good it is. Even better, it's insanely honest. They built their reputation with deeply personal songs chronicle lead singer Tim Nelson’s journey of coming out as gay and admitting his love for fellow band member Sam (Bolan) Netterfield. They have been featured in Billboard, Alternative Press, Nylon, and The Fader and have been invited to support both The 1975 and Vance Joy on their arena tours.
Learn more about Cub Sport at their website! Or check out more of their videos on their YouTube channel.
So, AdamMale might have given Willam Belli a few sponsorship dollars for this masterpiece! Even censored, Daddy Dick is a delightfully filthy homage to hunky older dudes. You can watch an uncensored version at Willam's Patreon page.
Finally! Sufjan Stevens released his video for the lovely song "Mystery of Love" today. Not only is this track on the Call Me By Your Name soundtrack, it also features gorgeous scenes from the movie.
Fischerspooner is back after being away for almost a decade. This time around Spooner teamed up with former boyfriend and gay icon REM frontman Michael Stipe. Check out the wonderfully homoerotic video for the track "Togetherness (featuring Caroline Polachek)."
Fischerspooner's new record SIR is out Feb. 16, 2018 on Ultra Records. Enjoy!
Finally, a new video from everyone's favorite gay indie rockers PWR BTTM! "Answer My Text" is visually stunning and filled with the some of the most comical imagery I have ever seen in a video. Their new album Pageant is due out May 12! Be sure to pick it up.
Check out the latest music video from Hey Qween host Jonny McGovern - Gay Questions! The song is a good spirited send up of things we all wonder about in the gay community. Do muscle bound circuit queens ever actually eat food? How do people have open relationships and not get jealous? Fisting?! Anyway, watch the video. It's loads of fun and full of hunky men.
And of course, Season 5 of Hey Qween is coming up in March. Be sure to tune in!
On August 1st, musician Lyon Hart released the wonderful single "Falling For You." The accompanying video is a breathtaking thing of beauty. Choreographed by and starring Lonnie Poupard, Jr. and Kile Hotchkiss, and directed by Matt VanDaniker, the video follows the relationship of two men spiraling out of control, moving seamlessly between dance and narrative in thrilling transitions.
As a songwriter, Lyon Hart has written for a variety of artists including One Tree Hill and Dexter's Bethany Joy Lenz and Erin Willett (The Voice, Season 2). Also, indie powerhouses Noosa, EVVY, Jojee, Sound Remedy, Savoy, just to mention a few.
Fiorious is a Bronx-born, gay singer-songwriter who quit his dayjob as a pop music journalist to make his own music, embracing his Euro roots without sacrificing his New York City soul. The fruits of his wanderlust? A throbbing, hard-smacking orgy of electropop, disco-funk, and indie-dance.
Fiorious releases ‘Dance Dance Dance’ EP for Pride month on June 17th. It features the brand new single, "Never Fade" and the joyous house cover of the Lykke Li classic "Dance Dance Dance." Check out both below!

Recording artist and raunchy rapper Cakes Da Killa is a 24-year-old with three critically-acclaimed mixtapes to his name. His latest release Hunger Pangs solidified him as “one of hip hop’s most exciting voices,” according to The Needle Drop and a ferocious rapper who “sounds like he will absolutely slap your face off” in the words of Stereogum. No small feat, as this intensity has also garnered him praise from the likes of Vice, MTV and The Fader. Cakes Da Killa’s unique sound is a mix of various musical influences, cinema and underground experiences. Praised for both his lyrical content and flow, which has earned him comparisons to Lil Kim and Foxy Brown, Cakes’ international following has brought him all around Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, all the while shattering the preconceived notions of what it takes to be a respected lyricist. (Rightly) bragging that he can, “spit that shit to make a homophobe a hypocrite,” he continues to prove the statement true with each new release he drops.
You must watch filmmaker Ja'Tovia Gary's 13 minute documentary on Cakes Da Killa, born Rashard Bradshaw. Cakes is alarmingly honest about his life. Especially poignant is the section on how being a sarcastic, fun loving class clown saved him from being bullied in High School, but as an adult, he struggles to turn the sarcasm off, let down his guard, and allow people into his life. It's really wonderful.
Yikes...Christmas is less than two weeks away now! Here's a little X-mas jam from B-52s frontman Fred Schneider and his band The Superions off their 2010 Christmas album Destination...Christmas. "Fruitcake" is kind of inexplicable. Just watch it.
Check out the great video for Austra's track "Habitiat." This comes from the Habitat EP realeased in 2014. And for those unfamiliar, Austra is an out and proud LGBT act! Be their pals on Facebook!
Today we take a flash back to the 80s with smoking hot Paul Lekakis and his dance hit Boom Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room)!" If you are a horror fan, you might also have seen Paul in the gay horror film Hellbent! Anyway, enjoy!
Check out the awesome track "All The Boys" from gay punk-ish duo PWR BTTM! Their new album Ugly Cherries came out last week and it's totally worth owning. Doesn't hurt that they are adorable, either!
North Carolina's Miami Dice is the atmosphere and beat-oriented project of Shaun Olson, drummer and founding member of indie/shoegaze outfit Cement Stars. An Italo disco / R&B-influenced dance project, Miami Dice incorporates vintage synth sounds, laid-back beats, minimal vocals and a vibe that evokes the neon-lit after-hours world of the late 70's and early 80's. Rounding out the line-up is Olson's Cement Stars bandmate Josh Faggart on drums, and Scott Weaver (formerly of the bands Babyshaker and Snagglepuss) on trumpet and percussion. Together, the three of them have become the ultimate in chill vibes, good time, drinking with your friends, party dance music.
Yesterday, they released a great new video directed by Enid Valu for the track "Mota-Vation" of their latest release Premium Cut (Deluxe Edition). Premium Cut was originally released in 2014 shortly after the trio began playing together. They thought maybe it needed a second chance. So, they brought in Jesse Clasen from the band HRVRD to remaster the original tracks, added four new tracks, and are going to follow up with a remix from DJ Justin Aswell. Premium Cut (Deluxe Edition) sounds great and really allows their good time vibes to shine through. It's also pretty good music for playing in the background on a romantic evening with your significant other. You probably don't want to know how I know this.
The "Mota-Vation" video was shot by a one woman crew over a period of 8 hours. The bar that appears in the video is the now closed nightclub Phoenix in downtown Charlotte, NC which used to be the site of the legendary club Mythos. On a side note, it is important to mention that band member Scott Weaver has hosted the infamous weekly gay friendly dance/drag/burlesque party Shiprocked in Charlotte for the last eight years. Everyone from Cazwell to Kool Keith, Leslie and the Lys to Cakes Da Killa have graced the Shiprocked stage. If you are ever in Charlotte, NC on a Thursday night, you owe it to yourself to go.
Check out the the "Mota-Vation" video below and preview the Premium Cut (Deluxe Edition) album below!
Miami Dice is well worth your time!
